While progressives stand united in opposing U.S. aggression against Iran, we hold contending positions on whether the Obama administration should move forward with engagement now or hold off until the dust settles in Iran in the aftermath of the June election. This discussion will illuminate the critical issues at stake, and couldn’t be timelier as headlines abound with Ahmadinejad's UN appearance and the protests against him, renewed demonstrations in Iran, and talks over Iran's nuclear program set for October.
